Description
Despite looking like something an eldritch toddler doodled during nap time, the “perfectly normal, absolutely standard, not-at-all-problematic Kalashnikov” is weirdly effective at dealing with the nasties that roam the wilds.
No one understands why.
Scholars have theorized that its uncanny ability to make creatures made of shadow, mucus, or morally questionable tentacles spontaneously rethink their life choices might be linked to the faint, off-key lullaby it emits when danger is near. Others believe the rifle’s habit of dramatically gasping—like a Victorian noblewoman—right before something horrifying leaps out of the bushes is more than coincidence.
When aimed at monsters (never at anything mundane; it refuses), it fires bright, harmless-looking projectiles of pure “nope.” Each shot is basically a concentrated chunk of the universe shouting, “Absolutely not, go home.”
This tends to discourage even the hungriest abominations.
The rifle, of course, insists this is all due to “top-tier craftsmanship” and not because it secretly feeds on the despair of goblins. But the goblins disagree. Loudly.
